Meet Ms. Jordyn
Educator. Musician. Advocate for Early Joy.
Hi! I’m Ms. Jordyn—founder of My Early Edge, early childhood music educator, and firm believer that every child deserves to learn in a space where they feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
For as long as I can remember, music has been my language—and early childhood education has been my calling.
I started as a voice major, studied child psychology, and spent years teaching young learners in both classroom and private settings.
What I found? Kids thrive when they’re met with patience, play, and purpose. That’s exactly what we offer here at My Early Edge.
Why My Early Edge Is Different—And Why It Matters
I started My Early Edge after watching too many little ones leave their very first lesson feeling small instead of inspired. Traditional programs were built for middle-school fingers and recital stages; they expect perfect posture, perfect pitch, perfect practice logs. A six-year-old hears that as “Don’t mess up.”
So I rewrote the rules:
Play First, Notes Later – We turn scales into rainbow treasure hunts, rhythm drills into freeze-dance battles. Kids laugh, wiggle, and—almost by accident—absorb the fundamentals.
Confidence Over Comparison – Progress is measured in “I did it!” smiles, not competition. Every high-five tells a child their creativity is worth celebrating.
Parents as Cheerleaders, Not Taskmasters – After each session you get quick, playful take-home ideas—no guilt-ridden practice charts.
The result? Children don’t just take music lessons; they claim music as a joyful part of who they are for years to come—and that passion can last a lifetime.
